Warning: 'Physiotherapy' is the professional title recognised in Ireland by the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (ISCP), the World Confederation for Physical Therapy (WCPT) and the Health and Social Care Professionals Council. 'Physical therapy' is a term used by some private Irish enterprises for their graduates and is not so recognised. Such use of the term 'physical therapy' is illegal in various countries but not in Ireland. The WCPT has long called for the resultant confusion within and outside Ireland to be addressed by Irish state regulations.
